WHO IS STARR* SAFFA?

Born mid-twentieth century in Seattle, Washington, Starr*’s journey thus far, has been one of adventure as she delved into the mysteries of life which often incorporated many ethnographic studies. Having an innate spiritual bent many of her adventures took place through religious endeavors as a pioneer. As such she has traveled to many countries and lived among the people indigenous to those countries, including minority groups within the United States (American Indians, Afro-Americans, Hawaiians, Guamanians, Micronesians, Samoans, Tongans, Cook Islanders, Mexicans, Filipinos, Iranians, New Zealanders [Maori and White Settlers], Australians, Australian Aborigines, Canadians and, Japanese). Aside from her own American upbringing she believes that studying the cultures and living with various people have all had effect on the person that she is today, and thus now she views herself as a futuristic humanitarian world citizen interested in building a balanced society. She believes that for this to happen women must have full equality and participate at all levels of decision making in the society, thus she has always had a keen interest in empowering and advancing women.

Whenever possible Starr* was able to put her many talents to use in building small community groups that functioned on many levels of spiritual and social needs. She was active not only in the organization of the community but also in its practical applications. Having multi-interests she would be involved in designing large conferences and seminars, media interfacing, adult and children’s education, speaking, and serving on many committees locally and nationally. She comes from a multi-racial family and has helped raise many children from diverse backgrounds.

Educationally, Starr* has attended over twelve different Universities with a total of six years of study. Some of her main areas of study have been Astronomy, Psychology, Sociology, Chemistry, Women’s Studies, and Chiropractic. She is a graduate of the American College of Natural Healing in Mesa, Arizona and has applied her healing skills within the community. Employment wise Starr* has worked in diverse fields including research, banking, administration, government, and overseeing pilot schemes for social and economic development.

She lives by the Indian Ocean in a suburb of Perth, Western Australia where she has been for the past thirteen years (the longest she has ever lived in one place in her entire life). She maintains an active interest in spiritual matters, and hopes to eventually finish getting her helicopter license. While a few of her articles have been published, most of her works were made into instructional manuals which were used within the community, however, she believes her book entitled “Tahirih Thealogy: Female Christ Spirit of the Age” is a potential best seller. Most of all, she hopes it will upraise the status of women and empower the individual.
